Location: Huddersfield, with hybrid working



Duration: 12 - 14 Month Fixed Term Contract




We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated finance professional to join our Group Finance Team as an Assistant Management Accountant. Reporting directly to the Senior Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance functions of our FMG business.


In this role, you will take ownership of the monthly management accounts process for the group, including preparing income statements, completing balance sheet reconciliations, calculating and posting journals. You will also manage daily and weekly ledger imports, while ensuring accuracy within the finance functions.

Salary -

25,000 - 30,000 per annum based on experience.

Annual Leave -

Start with 24 days, increasing to 26 days with service, plus the flexibility to buy or sell up to 5 extra days each year. Of course, you'll have public holidays too and an extra day off to celebrate your birthday!

About You




First and foremost, you are AAT Qualified, or part qualified, or possess a degree in finance, accounting, or a closely related business field. You'll have excellent attention to detail and ability to plan, organise and work on multiple tasks simultaneously. You're able to use initiative, make reasoned decisions under pressure and are driven by process improvement. You have a solid understanding of general ledger processes and systems, with the ability to recommend improvements. Your ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders in a professional manner will be crucial. Above all, you will have strong Excel skills, which are essential to succeed in this role.
