Job Description

Beaverbrook is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our dynamic team as an Assistant Management Accountant. As an integral part of our finance department, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our Management Accountant and managing the day-to-day operations of our transactional accounting team.


Based at the Estate, the Assistant Management Accountant will be part of a small but friendly team of finance professionals and will have previous experience in end-to-end Accounts Payable function for multiple entities, as well as supervision experience.


What you'll be doing:

Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Preparing accruals, prepayments, and journal entries in line with accounting policies. Checking all bank statement postings, ensuring all are accurately posted in Sage and Opera. Post HMRC, VAT, and Beaverbrook Golf Club journals for resignations and new joiners. Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies all three entities Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and hotel financial policies.

Who you are:

Previous experience in a similar accounting role preferred, ideally in the Hospitality sector. Proactive, organised, and able to prioritise workload. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Excel and hotel finance systems, e.g. Opera, Sage and Procure Wizard.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 09:00-17:30.


Salary: 35,000 per annum plus Tronc
