Assistant Management Accountant
to support our finance team in delivering accurate financial reporting and insightful analysis. In this role, you'll play a vital part in shaping data-driven decisions that enhance efficiency and profitability across our diverse portfolio of catering contracts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
Analyse cost of sales, labour costs, and overheads to identify trends and variances, providing actionable insights.
Develop and maintain event accounting to assess the profitability of individual events and contracts.
Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with operational managers.
Produce client-facing financial reports and commentary to support the presented results.
Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and assist in audits to maintain compliance.
Maintain and develop financial systems, including purchasing and stock control systems, ensuring data integrity.
Assist in managing the debtors ledger, including monitoring outstanding invoices and supporting credit control processes.
Undertake special projects and reporting tasks as required by the finance team.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience within the hospitality or catering industry is preferred.
Some experience assisting with the management accounts process and a good understanding of accruals and prepayments.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Collaborative approach with a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement.
