It starts with our people, which is why we need an Assistant Management Accountant to join our team and the opportunity to work within a team that is core to the global finance function. A good all-round grounding in business finance and the preparation of financial statements (internal and external).



The team works closely with senior members of the firm and budget holders providing early exposure to senior management.



The team itself has a wealth of experience and comprises qualified accountants. The team is constantly looking to improve its work and processes.



We actively encourage staff to train for their role and this will be a mixture of at work learning supported by (following successful completion of the probation period) studying for a relevant accountancy qualification.



This role will progress to include more responsibility and complex work as the assistant learns and grows.



You'll be responsible for:



Assist with the month end and year end close meeting tight deadlines of 3 working days Prepare and maintain monthly schedules including fixed asset registers Assist the global Finance & Accounting team in the development and maintenance of management reports Assisting with the preparation and processing of journals for the EMEA region Preparation of ONS surveys; support with other annual surveys Assist with the preparation of VAT returns for the EMEA region Produce ad-hoc financial reports for individuals across the global business


Skills and experience required



Prior experience of working with a professional services firm prferred Experience of working in a firm with multi-national currency bookkeeping : desired but not essential Experience of Elite 3E : desired but not essential Excel skills (pivot tables, sumifs, vlookup etc) : essential Strong problem solving and analytical skills Self-motivated, organised and professional individual with the ability to adapt to demands and to work effectively as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
