Assistant Management Accountant
to support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end reporting, and cash flow preparation.
This is a
hands-on, hybrid role
combining transactional accounting with management accounting exposure. The role is deliberately structured to provide strong accounting foundations while developing finance and commercial skills over time.

40% Daily Accounting & Record Keeping
40% Month-End & Management Accounting Support
20% Cash Flow & Working Capital Support
Key Responsibilities
40% Daily Accounting & Record Keeping
Post daily
journal entries
, supplier invoices, and employee expenses into the accounting system
Maintain accurate
general ledger and subsidiary ledger
records under supervision
Perform
bank, supplier, customer, and control account reconciliations
, escalating discrepancies where required
Organise and maintain accounting documentation to ensure
audit-ready records
Support day-to-day finance queries from internal teams
40% Month-End & Management Accounting Support
Support the
month-end close process
, including:
Accruals and prepayments
Cost of sales and supplier reconciliations
Payroll journals
Fixed asset tracking
Assist in the preparation of
monthly management accounts
Perform basic
variance analysis
and data checks
Prepare and maintain
monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Support
annual audit preparation
and respond to auditor requests
Assist with
UK regulatory and compliance reporting
, including VAT and PAYE support
20% Cash Flow & Working Capital Support
Assist in preparing
weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts
Track customer receipts, supplier payments, deposits, and deferred revenue
Monitor payment timing differences and working capital movements
Highlight potential cash flow risks and anomalies to the Accounting Manager
Support scenario planning as the business grows
Qualifications & ExperienceEssential
Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2-3 years
of relevant accounting or finance experience
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Well organised with strong documentation and record-keeping skills
Ability to work effectively within a team and meet deadlines
Preferred / Advantage
Turkish language skills
Travel or tour operating industry experience
Experience with
Xero, Sage, SAP
, or similar accounting systems
Awareness of
UK accounting and tax concepts
(VAT, PAYE)
Studying or intending to study professional qualifications (
AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA
)
