Responsible for assisting in the preparation of internal management accounts for the company. Assisting with the Sales and Purchase Ledgers. Assist the Senior Management Accountant with cash management, stock controls, management information requests and Year End audit and processes. Assist with improving existing procedures as well as with implementing new controls and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting in preparation of Management Accounts for the company, including, but not limited to;
- Accruals
- Prepayments
- Stock valuations
- Depreciation, amortisation, and journals
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Ad hoc journal adjustments
Cash and Treasury
- Prepare drawdown requests for IF and other credit facilities
- Assist in bank and IF facility reconciliations
Purchase Ledger
- Assist with requests for payments and other queries from suppliers
- Assist with processing purchase invoices, including seeking approvals
- Assist with the preparation of supplier pay runs
- Process employee expenses and credit cards
- Assist with new supplier set ups, including verification of bank details
- Liaise with other teams to help resolve disputes with suppliers
Other
- Creating invoices for some customers, including EDI submissions
- Assist with product costings
- Assist with the year end audit and stat accounts
- Assist the Financial Controller with providing Management Information for other departments as required
- Identify areas to improve existing procedures and assist the Senior Management Accountant and Financial Controller with implementing new controls across all group companies
- Deputise for the Senior Management Accountant
Key Relationships

External: Suppliers, Customers, Banks and other Financial Institutions
Qualifications & Experience

- Professional Qualification (such as CIMA / ACCA / ACA)

Demonstrable success in a similar role within a consumer goods organization
