Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Nottingham (Full-time, office-based)
Salary: 40,000

About the Role
Our client is looking for a motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join their Nottingham office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone keen to progress their career in finance, with full study support provided.
Key Responsibilities
-Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
-Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate depreciation and disposals
-Prepare journals, accruals, and prepayments using strong double-entry knowledge
-Produce balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date
-Support budgeting and forecasting processes
-Provide variance analysis and commentary on business performance
-Work with the finance team to streamline processes and strengthen controls
-Support ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as required
What We're Looking For
-Experience with fixed assets and month-end processes
-Previous experience in an accounting/finance role
-Strong Excel and analytical skills
-High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
-Studying towards ACCA/CIMA
