Nationwide Healthcare Providers Ltd is a growing, dynamic organisation operating a group of dental practices across the UK, alongside associated residential and commercial letting companies and other service businesses within the group. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Management Accountant to join our financial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial management activities, preparing accurate financial reports, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. Responsibilities
Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts using accounting software such as Sage Accounts 50, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes ensuring timely payments and collections
Monitor cash flow and optimise financial resources to support organisational objectives
Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes with accurate reporting and reconciliation
Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices in financial management and accounting procedures
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial data collection and reporting for strategic planning
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts
Contribute to audits by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors as required
Analyse variances between actuals and budgets, providing insights for corrective actions
Experience
Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role within the financial services sector or related industries
Extensive knowledge of accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage Accounts 50, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems
Strong understanding of financial management principles, including financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and foster a collaborative working environment
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
Prior experience working with accounts payable processes and managing complex financial data sets
Relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA or equivalent are highly desirable but not mandatory
