The role is within the Daisy Communications Finance team of Daisy Group. The role is pivotal in supporting P&L and Balance sheet management for the main business units whilst ensuring accurate Revenue and Margin reporting. The individual will support the Finance Manager to aid preparation of monthly management accounts and support analysis of key variances against forecast.

This opportunity would suit an individual who is keen to progress within the finance function and looking to take on further studies.

Location: Nelson/hybrid working
Salary: \xc2\xa326,000-32,000pa
Working hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of bi-monthly and month end Revenue and Margin reporting across Network Services products.
  • Completing monthly cost recharging schedules for divisional cross charges.
  • Monthly P&L trend analysis and investigation of key variances to budget.
  • Liaising with suppliers to resolve queries and engaging with internal stakeholders to review supplier base.
  • Drafting and processing month-end journals.
  • Preparation of key monthly Balance sheet reconciliations for Management review.
  • Supporting Finance Manager and HOF with decision support analysis and financial improvement projects.
  • Supporting the Finance Manager to complete deliverables for the year end statutory accounts and audit, ensuring that records are correct and complete.
  • Be vigilant for possible fraudulent activity and if necessary, raise a security incident report using the template accessible via the corporate Intranet.
  • Periodically review Daisy Security Policies - centrally hosted on the Intranet - to ensure full compliance with current legal, regulatory and company requirements
  • Carry out any \'ad hoc\' assignments as and when required.
  • To be compliant with health and safety company policy and legislation.
Qualifications
  • Part qualified ACCA or CIMA.
  • Similar experience in a Finance role essential.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills to a level enabling effective data analysis.
  • Good communication skills, able to work effectively with both Finance and Non-Finance colleagues.
  • A high energy level with creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
