We are looking for an enthusiastic, curious and driven Assistant Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team - someone who wants to take ownership, make improvements and embed themselves across both finance and operations to truly understand how the business ticks. We can support your development and qualification, to allow you to grow with the business. This role is ideal for someone who doesn't want to just sit in an office posting journals, but really become part of the business - involved, informed and always looking for ways to add value.

This role is full-time and permanent, offering a salary of 30,000 for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You'll be based at our Head Office in Darlington, with some flexibility for home working once you're fully inducted into the business.

What we're looking for:
A solid foundation in finance/accounting (AAT qualified or working towards CIMA/ACCA ideal)
Excellent interpersonal skills - you'll work closely with colleagues across departments
A positive attitude and self-motivation - someone who takes initiative and gets stuck in
Curiosity and a desire to learn - we're keen to support your development
What you'll be doing:
Supporting with the production of multiple site P&Ls with accuracy and attention to deadlines, including journals and reconciliations
Helping prepare budgets, forecasts and insightful variance analysis
Partnering with the wider operations team to provide financial understanding and challenge
Spotting opportunities for continuous improvement in our processes
Taking on ad hoc projects and contributing to a strong control environment
