Assistant manager required at Esso & Morrison's Llansantffraid

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated member of staff to help the manager with the day to day running of a busy 4000sqft forecourt and convenience store. The main duties will include using the epos system to order and manage stock levels. Merchandising the store to Morrison's set planogram's, organising shift cover for holidays and booking in deliveries and filling shelves. You will also be required to working alongside other members of staff to serve customers and keep the shop full and presentable to our large customer base. Previous experience is preferred in this sector but full training will be given on our IT system.

It will be 35 to 40 hours a week and the hours will be set. All shifts will be in the day and will include some weekend work.

Pay will be dependent on experience.

Store & Company history

E.C.Ashton & Son has been trading for over 50 years and has two forecourt sites with convenience store in them. Our grocery supplier had been Costcutter for 24 years but in June 2022 we moved over to Morrison's. This has given the business a new lease of life working alongside Morrison's and their retail team. This move has seen the business grow as a whole and has helped increase our offering to the public and helped to create new jobs as well. Our fuel supplier has been Esso for the past 8 years and this is expected to continue into the future. Our partnership with Esso allows us to deliver a quality fuel offering to surrounding areas. The llansantffraid store has had a huge investment in 2023 inside the store with a complete new layout including trebling the chill offer we have for our customers. Outside we have also invested heavily in signage and store presentation.
