The Assistant Manager will help assist the John Hewitt Manager in all of the day to day running of the pub! You will share a love of hospitality, attention to detail, offering a world class experience, modern craft beer, and all things Boundary!

Duties and Responsibilities
Development, Performance and Morale of the Team
Works with the JH Manager to encourage and support ongoing training and development of the team, highlighting areas for improvement and coaching team members on best practice
Works with the JH Manager to ensure that any issues of concern within the team are heard, acted upon and resolved
Provides on the ground support and encouragement to the team
Promotes a positive and safe working environment with a focus on teamwork and quality.

Customer Service and Satisfaction
Demonstrates a passion for service and product quality by leading when on shift and maintaining a strong front of house presence
Ensures standards of quality product and service in all operations
Support with planning and running of events, tours and tastings

Responds to inbound customer enquiries quickly and appropriately
Ensures all customer communications are up to date and accurate
Support with the processing and fulfilment of customer webshop orders
Compliance to Boundary's Standards, Procedures and Policies
Works with the JH Manager to promote a fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures
Works with the JH Manager to make certain that Boundary health and safety, security policies and risk assessments are communicated and enforced
Works closely with the team to ensure adherence to company handbook, hospitality playbook and standards of service throughout the venue
Ensures that all invoices and deliveries are tracked adequately
Supports with completing all daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports and ensuring that these are submitted in a timely manner
Supports with stock ordering and management with JH Manager and Supply and Logistics Lead.
Appearance and Maintenance of Premises and Cellar Equipment
Works with the JH Manager to uphold cleanliness standards through premises evaluations and helps hold team accountable
Works with the JH Manager to manage an ongoing maintenance programme to ensure the good working order of the cellar equipment.
Ensures that issues that affect the good working order of any equipment are dealt with in a timely fashion, and if they cannot be dealt with are communicated back to the JH Manager immediately.
Assists with stock take and management of any discrepancies
Communication with Venue Management Team, Boundary Team and Company Directors
Attends monthly site visits as scheduled.
Maintains confidentiality of all company information and is forthcoming in reporting all policy and procedure violations or wrongdoing to the JH Manager
Supports open communication with wider Boundary team
