Job Overview

The Golden Pheasant Inn is located in the heart of Burford, one of the Cotswolds most iconic towns. We are due to close shortly for a major refurbishment and will emerge with 18 boutique bedrooms, 50 cover restaurant and bar and outside courtyard dining.

We seek an outgoing person with ambition and a desire for success, our aim is to ensure we are operating to the highest standards of cuisine, service and hospitality. You will have already gained experience in a boutique hotel/ gastro inn at a supervisory level and are ready to take a step into management. We can offer assistance with accommodation and a salary of 32-35k plus bonus and tips.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily operations of the inn, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. Supervise and lead a team of staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Train and mentor new employees in food preparation, culinary skills, and customer service standards. Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance team productivity. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the establishment. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to resolve issues promptly. Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for improving service quality and operational efficiency. Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a leadership role within the restaurant or hospitality industry is preferred. Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence. K Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by operational needs. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational abilities.
