Job Description

An exciting opportunity to become Assistant Manager within one of our City Centre stores has arisen.

To ensure the smooth running of your store ; helping the manager motivate your team to provide the best possible warm and friendly service to our customers.

Your job includes , amongst other tasks, baking off, cooking on a griddle and ensuring that the store is always resourced to operate within the correct trading hours, our counters look enticing and appealing to our customers, our team members offer the highest standards of customer service, your team feel motivated and enjoy their jobs, and the store is kept spotlessly clean, operating safely and legally at all times.

You will be continually improving the service your store provides, ensuring excellent brand standards. You'll be the face of your store and a brand ambassador for Friary Mill Bakery.

:

Sales:

To maximise sales opportunities by maintaining great availability, driving 'assisted' sales and delivering excellent standards of display. Keeping an eye on market trends to help shape improvements within the store.

Profitability:

Keeping waste and hours within agreed targets.

Pricing and Promotions:

To ensure that all products have a price ticket and that you comply with current company promotions.

Customer Service:

Role modelling warm and friendly service at all times and coaching and training your team to do the same, whilst ensuring everyone is always dressed for service. Dealing with customer complaints to maintain the stores reputation

Quality:

Operating a 'Would I Buy It Myself?" approach to controlling quality, accepting nothing that you are not proud to serve to your customers.

Cleaning:

To keep your store and back of house spotlessly clean at all times, and to coach and train your staff to do the same.

Safe and Legal:

To complete all key safety and legal checks in full every day.

Allergens:

To fully understand our legal obligations surrounding Natasha's Law and to ensure that your team practice these every day; never knowingly selling a product that you believe could put a customer or the business at risk.

Your Team:

To support the Manager to look after your team well, communicating clearly what is required, praising them often, being approachable, fair, friendly and caring; your team would describe you as a 'great boss'.

Maintenance:

To ensure your store is well maintained and fully operational at all times by dealing with things that you are able to deal with whilst regularly chasing anything that requires the attention of our maintenance department.

Hours:

Min 35 hours per week

Monday - Saturday, with day off during the week.

Shifts vary between 7am - 4pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50 per hour
