This role is part of our next site takeover and presents an exciting opportunity for the right Assistant Manager to help shape the service culture, support the development of the team, and establish outstanding operational standards from the very beginning.

Our operations are dynamic and fast-paced -- we regularly host functions for up to 200 guests, sometimes multiple times a day, delivering both plated service and large-scale buffets alongside a busy 100-cover restaurant. We're looking for a confident, organised, and proactive Assistant Manager who thrives in a high-energy environment, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service.
Duties
Assist the General Manager and Director in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow and customer satisfaction
Supervise staff, including scheduling shifts, delegating tasks, and providing training on food preparation, serving, and safety protocols
Monitor food production processes to maintain quality standards and adherence to food safety regulations
Support food preparation and cooking activities as needed, ensuring efficiency and consistency in dish presentation
Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients in compliance with health standards
Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly to uphold the establishment's reputation
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with hygiene standards
Assist in implementing promotional activities or special events to enhance guest experience
Experience
Proven Management experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices
Experience in food safety management and compliance with health regulations
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment in a fast paced and busy environment
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures and hospitality standards
Previous hotel experience is highly desirable, particularly roles involving Food and Beverage and Conference and Banqueting
Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential
