We are seeking an organised, proactive, and customer-focused
Assistant Manager / Event Manager
to join our team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, can lead a team, and has a passion for delivering outstanding events from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily venue operations and assist in managing staff rotas, training, and performance
Act as the main point of contact for event clients, ensuring excellent communication throughout
Plan, coordinate, and execute events of varying sizes, including private functions, corporate bookings, and special occasions
Oversee event setup, running, and breakdown to ensure the highest standards
Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments
Manage budgets, invoicing, and post-event reporting
Ensure compliance with health & safety and licensing regulations
Maintain high levels of customer service and handle feedback professionally
Support senior management with administrative tasks and operational decision-making
Key Skills & Experience
Previous experience in event management, hospitality leadership, or a similar supervisory role
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confident in leading and motivating teams
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Experience with booking systems or event software (desirable)
