We're looking for a passionate, people-focused

Assistant Manager

to join our team at the

Brockholes Arms

- a well-loved local pub in the heart of Catterall, known for its warm atmosphere, great food, and friendly service.

About the Role:

As Assistant Manager, you'll support the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the Brockholes Arms. You'll help lead a dedicated team, ensure top-notch service, and make sure every guest leaves with a smile. Whether you're behind the bar, managing a busy floor, or running a shift, you'll be right at the heart of the action.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the General Manager in all aspects of pub operations Lead and motivate front-of-house staff Deliver consistently excellent customer service Assist with recruitment, training, and rota planning Manage stock, deliveries, and cash handling Uphold health, safety, and licensing standards Act as Duty Manager in the GM's absence

What We're Looking For:

Experience in hospitality, ideally in a supervisory or management role Friendly and approachable with a focus on great service Strong organisational and communication skills A hands-on, can-do attitude Flexible with working hours (evenings & weekends essential) Knowledge of cellar and bar operations is a plus
