We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cafe assistant manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising all cafe operations, including crafting high-quality coffee and teas, providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, assisting with staff management, customer service, inventory management and leading an example ensuring that our customers have an unforgettable experience from the moment they enter our establishment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards during food preparation and service.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Engage with customers, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in basic maths calculations.
- Team management demonstrating behaviours, work ethic and values of our cafe.
- Provide help to customers as needed, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
- Working close to management, reporting and helping to create best opportunities for the business
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Experience in simple food preparation is advantageous but not essential.
- Management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing inventory effectively.
- A friendly disposition with excellent communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members
