We are seeking a confident and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant operations, food preparation, and team leadership. You will play a vital role in supporting the General Manager with daily operations, staff performance, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality, customer service, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
Support the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
Lead, supervise, and train staff in food preparation, cooking standards, and service procedures
Ensure full compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
Manage stock control, including ordering, stock rotation, and inventory monitoring
Drive a positive, high-performance team culture through strong leadership and communication
Handle customer feedback, enquiries, and complaints professionally and efficiently
Assist in implementing strategies to improve service quality, sales performance, and operational efficiency
Support with staff scheduling, shift planning, and rota management to ensure peak-time coverage
Monitor service standards during busy periods and step in operationally when needed
Essential Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food prep, and food production techniques
Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and compliance procedures
Confident leader with the ability to motivate, train, and manage a diverse team
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong customer service skills with a guest-first mindset
Previous kitchen experience is highly desirable
Barista or beverage experience is an advantage
A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
