We are seeking an experienced and dynamic assistant Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality or food service establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring smooth service delivery and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members, including chefs, servers, and kitchen staff
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met
Manage daily operations of the restaurant or hospitality venue, including scheduling and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in all areas
Assist with training staff on food production, service procedures, and health & safety protocols
Handle customer enquiries and resolve any complaints promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
Implement organisational policies and procedures to optimise operational efficiency
Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences, fostering a positive team environment
Skills
Proven experience in supervising teams within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff
Sound understanding of food safety standards and regulations
Experience in food production, kitchen operations, or hotel management is highly desirable
Ability to organise workload efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers
Previous experience serving or barista experience is advantageous but not essential
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail
