Retail Manager

to help lead our day-to-day shop operations.

About the Role

This is a

hands-on leadership role

. You'll be responsible for keeping the shop running smoothly during your shift - creating a welcoming environment, managing staff (if on duty), handling high-quality food items, and ensuring everything looks beautiful and feels effortless.

You'll often be working

independently

, so you'll need to be confident, well-organised, and comfortable with taking initiative.

Your Responsibilities

Oversee the retail floor during your shift - including opening/closing the shop Receive, check and restock chilled food, fresh produce, and packaged goods Maintain high standards of

food handling and hygiene

(wrapping, rotating, labelling, displaying) Ensure the deli counter, fridge displays and grab-and-go areas look fresh and inviting Serve customers warmly and confidently - including making barista-quality coffee Handle basic till operations, stock records, waste logs and shop presentation Support and supervise other team members during your shift

You'll Be a Great Fit If You...

Have experience in

food-led retail

(farmshop, deli, wholefood or cafe environment) Are confident working independently and leading in a calm, thoughtful way Know how to handle food safely and present it beautifully Are friendly, efficient, and fanatical about customer experience Communicate clearly and speak fluent English Take pride in doing things properly - with reliability and high standards Are flexible with shifts, including weekends
