Job Description

T's Removals and Storage is continuing to grow and we're on the lookout for an Assistant Manager / Team Leader to step in and help take the business to the next level.

Based in Belfast/Bangor, we provide domestic, commercial and cross-channel removals. We need the right person who's ready to roll up their sleeves, lead a team, and be hands-on both on the vans and behind the scenes. For the right candidate, this role offers strong potential to grow into a senior management position as the company expands.

The Role:


You'll play a key part in both operations and management, with your hands in multiple areas of the business including:

Day-to-Day Leadership:



Leading the removals crew on-site, keeping standards high on every job. Making sure the team are always fully uniformed, presentable, and operating safely. Overseeing vehicle loading, securing customer items properly, and using protective equipment. Actively managing the customer's experience during each move. Ensuring vans are clean, organised, and checked daily. Completing inventory forms and ensuring payments are collected at job completion. Organising and capturing content (photos/videos) for marketing and social media.

Fleet & Vehicle Management:



Booking vehicles for maintenance, MOTs, and compliance checks. Hiring additional vans when required and ensuring all vehicles are fully equipped and road-ready. Weekly vehicle inspections and quickly resolving any issues. Keeping personal driving certifications (CPC etc.) up-to-date.

Customer Service & Admin:



Handling customer calls, messages, emails, and social media inquiries when required. Assisting in scheduling social media content for management approval. Assisting with quotes, payments, and handling occasional cash transactions.

Team Training & Development:



Helping train and develop team members, identifying strengths and addressing areas for improvement. Upholding and enforcing company standards on lifting, loading, reassembly, stacking, tying down and overall workmanship.

What We're Looking For:



Previous experience in removals or logistics is highly desirable. Strong customer service background (minimum 2 years). Full UK driving licence (max 3 points). Great communicator who can lead a team and maintain high standards. Organised, reliable, and proactive with a problem-solving mindset. Someone looking for genuine long-term growth within a fast-moving small business.

Hours & Pay:



Guaranteed 30 hours per week minimum, with regular overtime available. Pay negotiable depending on experience and skillset. Regular reviews as responsibilities grow.
This role is perfect for someone who wants more than just a 'job on the vans' -- but who still enjoys being hands-on and actively involved. You'll be directly supporting the owner, helping to drive the business forward every day.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.50-15.00 per hour
