We're on the lookout for an energetic, people-loving Assistant Manager to help run our lively restaurant and music-led venue in Ironbridge. If you're just as excited about great hospitality as you are about a packed live music night, this could be your perfect next step. You'll work side-by-side with the General Manager to keep the venue buzzing, the team motivated, and our guests coming back for more.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in busy environments, enjoys leading a team, and isn't afraid to jump into the action when the night gets fun (and loud!).
What You'll Be Getting Up To
Inspiring, coaching, and supporting the team to deliver top-tier hospitality
Getting involved in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff development
Keeping an eye on budgets, wage percentages, and general cost control
Overseeing daily operations and helping solve problems before they become problems
Ensuring health & safety, food safety, and licensing standards are always met
Helping plan and deliver events--from live music nights to quizzes, themed evenings, and anything creative you can bring to the table
Handling orders, stock management, and ensuring we never run out of the good stuff
Building great relationships with guests, suppliers, performers, and the local community
Supporting marketing efforts, including social media presence, promotions, event announcements, and seasonal campaigns
Bringing ideas to improve service, grow revenue, and elevate the overall vibe
Taking ownership of opening/closing duties and deputising for the GM when needed
Keeping paperwork and admin organised (we promise it's not all spreadsheets!)
Leading by example on the floor--being visible, approachable, calm, and fun
What You'll Bring
Previous management or supervisory experience in hospitality
A genuine love for people, service, food, and entertainment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
Confident communication and the ability to build rapport with anyone
A cool head under pressure and a knack for multitasking
Creative thinking and a willingness to try new ideas
Good understanding of bar/restaurant operations, trends, and guest expectations
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy event nights
