Job Summary:



The Restaurant Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, team productivity, and overall efficiency. They are responsible for supervising staff, maintaining service standards, addressing customer concerns, and contributing to the restaurant's profitability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:



Operational Oversight:

Assist in the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely orders. Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring all safety and cleanliness standards are met.

Staff Management:

Supervise and mentor team members, including training, performance evaluations, and providing constructive feedback. Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and non-peak hours. Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and employee engagement.

Customer Service:

Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for all patrons. Monitor and improve service standards to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Financial Management:

Support the General Manager in achieving sales targets and managing budgets. Monitor and control labour costs, food costs, and other operational expenses. Handle daily cash management, including reconciliation and deposits.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local laws and industry standards. Conduct regular checks to ensure all equipment is in good working condition.

Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:

Address operational challenges quickly and efficiently. Implement solutions to improve workflows and processes. Assist in planning and executing promotional activities and events.

Qualifications:



Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and restaurant operations. Proficiency in using restaurant management software and tools. Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Skills:



Experience in training and team development. Basic financial acumen and budgeting experience. Creativity and problem-solving abilities to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 29,000.00-32,000.00 per year
