We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Manager to join our team here at Toby Carvery Huddersfield. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for the culinary arts, as well as experience in supervising staff within a kitchen or hospitality environment.
Duties
Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring high standards of service.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
Help with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and quality standards.
Manage inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas.
Train new employees on company policies, procedures, and food safety practices.
Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during service.
Collaborate with the management team to implement new strategies for improving service quality.
Skills
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a hotel or restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and culinary practices.
Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on team management.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience in bartending is an advantage but not essential.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and helping others succeed.
