What will you be doing?



We're seeking a talented individual to join our VAT Tax Team in London, which is responsible for providing VAT compliance and advisory services for a wide range of business clients.


This role will provide tax compliance and advisory services for a wide range of VAT business clients. You will also provide assistance to Managers/Directors/Partners in both client work and in the management of the group. You will be involved in special assignments and advisory projects on an ad hoc basis.

As an Assistant Manager your responsibilities will include among others



Client work - Undertaking "ad-hoc" consultancy work and working on a portfolio of complex cases, both advisory and compliance Client Service- Giving exceptional client service and be responsible for maintaining regular contact with client team Compliance - Ensuring procedures are followed taking account of institute and HMRC guidance where relevant and ensuring department KPIs are met around billing and recovery targets Personal Development (Technical & Other) - Attending internal/ external seminars and courses and developing awareness/interest in what other parts of the firm can do to encourage cross-referrals Practice Development - Assisting Partners/Directors on marketing activities/approaches to build client base


Qualifications

Skills and Experience



Significant VAT experience gained within the profession or industry Technically capable tax adviser who is able to assist in complex client work Required Demonstrable experience of managing people Required Appetite to grow business development skills Required Strong IT skills Required

Professional Qualifications and Education



Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) or tax advisor (CTA)
