Cambian Group, the UK's largest provider of specialist services in children's residential care, education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated individual to join the company as an Assistant Mental Health Practitioner. The post will require someone with previous experience of working in a CAMHS settings, specifically within Looked after Children's services and experience of working with children who have experienced a range of traumatic events.

Job Role



To work under the guidance of the clinical CSE Lead by offering therapeutic support to the CSE homes across five homes as directed by the CL. The therapeutic support is delivered using a consultation model and is clinically led by the CL. Home may require direct therapeutic work with young people under the supervision of an experienced clinician. This role will involve a close and collaborative working with the operational staff, including the home and regional manager. Some of the key responsibilities will including upskilling staff, setting up/developing region-wide projects e.g. increasing awareness of CSA/CSE and promoting healthy relationships, extending the wellbeing project. Modelling of good practice in homes Foundation for Attachments, Creating/demonstrating resources, Suggesting ideas for key worker sessions. Attendance at TAC's of any home with info gathering and feedback to CL

Candidate Profile



We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, forward thinking Mental Health Practitioner assistant to join our friendly team.



Essential:



Mental Health background

CAMHS experience

Relevant qualifications to allow you to offer therapeutic interventions to children

Qualification to degree level or significant residential care experience

DDP level 1 solid knowledge of Dyadic Developmental Practise- foundation for attachments model

Be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills.

Have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.

Previous experience in working with children & adolescents is advantageous.
