We are seeking a

highly organised, professional, and guest-focused Assistant North Wing Manager

to support the running of the

North Wing

. This role is central to ensuring a seamless luxury experience for guests, brides and grooms, and visiting family members--maintaining the immaculate standards expected of a prestigious heritage estate.

About the Role



The Assistant North Wing Manager plays a key role in the daily operations of the North Wing, ensuring all spaces are beautifully presented, guest-ready, and maintained to 6-star luxury standards. Working alongside the House Manager and wider estate team, you will be responsible for cleaning oversight, guest preparation, breakfast service, housekeeping duties, and supporting weddings and events.

You will also communicate with internal and external teams including the House Manager, Estate Manager, Sales team, Wedding & Events team, laundry providers and other estate departments.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in high-end housekeeping, guest relations, or hospitality who takes pride in exceptional detail, service and presentation.

Key Responsibilities



North Wing Guest Experience



Prepare the North Wing for

6-star luxury stays

, including robes, dress bed, wedding cards, and personalised presentation for bridal couples. Cook and serve breakfast for guests. Ability to create grazing platters to North Wing standards. Meet, greet, and see out departing guests and bridal parties, ensuring a warm and professional welcome and farewell. Assist with luggage when required. Reset, restock and prepare the North Wing for the next stay, following all check-off and presentation lists.

Housekeeping & Presentation



Ensure all rooms in the North Wing are cleaned and presented to required estate standards, with sensitivity to historical and valuable items. Manage internal and external laundry processes including washing, ironing, and advising when soft furnishings or carpets require professional cleaning. Computer literate (daily use of Word and Excel) in order to maintain stock of produce, linens, guest consumables and equipment. Also use internal systems such as booking systems and email/Teams and various maintenance apps. Report breakages and ensure historic contents concerns are raised in a timely manner to line manager. Undertake deep cleans of the North Wing and equipment (e.g., ice machine) at agreed intervals.

Operational & Administrative Duties



Report maintenance issues promptly and liaise with relevant estate teams or contractors as required. Handle pre-guest processes such as courtesy calls when deputising for the House Manager. Complete health & safety documentation, including food safety diaries, temperature logs, and toilet checklists daily. Participate in fire salvage training and support training of staff when required. Carry and use a walkie-talkie on the North Wing channel and manage the North Wing business mobile when deputising.

General Support



Work collaboratively with the House Manager and Estate Manager to ensure smooth household operations across the estate. Undertake additional duties as required in a dynamic, varied hospitality environment.

About You



We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in luxury housekeeping and guest services. Experienced in cooking and serving breakfasts. Meticulous with exceptional attention to detail. Warm, confident and professional in guest-facing situations. Highly organised and able to multitask in a fast-paced, prestigious environment. Flexible, discreet and committed to maintaining the highest standards. Comfortable with some lifting and periods of lone working. Willing to work weekends and varying shifts to meet business needs.

Schedule



5 days over 7, including weekends as required. You'll be employed on a permanent basis on an annualised contract, you will not be expected to work more than 6 days per week.

Flexibility essential due to the nature of the business.

Please also note that the role will involve early starts.

Location



Applicants must be able to reliably commute to the Whitchurch/Nantwich, SY13 4AJ area or plan to relocate.

Own transport is essential due to the rural setting.

Interview Process

Candidates will also be requested to complete a task as part of the interview process to assess practical skills and abilities.
