We are seeking an experienced and dedicated
Assistant Nursery Manager
to join our established nursery team in
Corby
. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate early years professional looking to take the next step in their leadership journey.
Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you will help oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and compliance. You will play a key role in staff supervision, curriculum delivery, safeguarding, and parent partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Nursery Manager in leading daily operations, staff management, and strategic planning.
Step into the Nursery Manager role when required, maintaining smooth running of the setting.
Lead, coach, and mentor staff, supporting supervision, appraisals, and professional development.
Ensure delivery of a high-quality EYFS curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
Monitor child development records and ensure effective tracking and parent communication.
Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) when needed, upholding safeguarding and welfare standards.
Maintain compliance with health & safety, risk assessments, and statutory nursery regulations.
Build strong, professional partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, rota planning, fee tracking, and general administration.
Contribute to nursery marketing, events, and occupancy growth initiatives.
Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 or above desirable)
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior role within an early years setting
Strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding procedures, and Ofsted requirements
DSL and Paediatric First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Experience in supporting children with SEND and working with external agencies
