Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate, under direction of the Occupational Therapist, will work with the residents to help them regain and improve their ability to perform daily activities through therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

Assist in conducting comprehensive assessments of residents' physical and mental abilities to develop tailored treatment plans. Assist in implementing therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing residents' functional capabilities in daily living activities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists and case managers, to ensure holistic resident care. Provide support to residents and their families regarding treatment plans and progress. Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with the homes policies.

Requirements

Have experience of working in a similar role and experience of working under direction of an OT or equivalent professional. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents, families, and healthcare colleagues effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices.
