Job Description

We are an electrical contractor that operates on a nationwide basis specialising in the design and build of electrical installations within the retail, commercial, hotel & leisure market sectors.

We are looking for an Assistant Payroll / Accountant to assist with the company accountancy and commercial activities.

Key duties and responsibilities:



Prepare and process weekly payroll for +30 employees.

Prepare and process CIS submissions for regular sub-contractors.

End-to-end Accounts Payable - invoice processing, statement reconciliations, and timely payment runs.

Bank reconciliations using Sage, including month-end for credit cards and bank accounts

Credit control duties, including tracking aged debt and resolving discrepancies

Flexible support across the wider finance of the business.

The ideal candidate / experience and Skills include:



2+ years of experience in a finance or accounts role, preferably in the construction industry.

AAT Qualified or willing to work towards it.

Good working knowledge of accounts systems and practices

Extensive working knowledge required of Sage 50 Accounts / Sage Payroll and Microsoft Office Suite.

Attention to detail and accuracy are essential

Salary negotiable upon experience.

Part Time can be considered.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 32,000.00-37,500.00 per year
