We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking, with a keen interest in enhancing their culinary skills. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including meal preparation and cooking.
Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and measuring as required for various dishes.
Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.
Support in the presentation of dishes to ensure they meet our restaurant's quality standards.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.
Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
Experience
Previous kitchen experience is essential, preferably within a restaurant setting.
Culinary experience with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques is highly desirable.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Experience in serving customers and understanding their needs is an advantage.
