CASS, a leading specialist telecommunications business, is now recruiting an

Assistant Plant Manager

to join our Plant Team based at our Snitterfield, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, head office.

Summary



You'll be part of an experienced Plant Team, working to ensure that all plant equipment is safe, maintained, and ready for operational use. This role is key to supporting the efficient and effective delivery of services across the business by ensuring the right equipment is available when and where it's needed.

Reporting to the Plant Manager

, you'll work closely with our engineering and operational departments--supporting day-to-day activities, resolving plant issues, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts across layout, stock, and systems.

This is a hands-on and varied position that would suit someone with plant or equipment experience, strong organisation skills, and a practical mindset.

Responsibilities



Assist in the issuing, inspecting, and maintaining of all plant and equipment Ensure equipment is safe, compliant, and fit for purpose at all times Log and manage equipment data, including serial numbers and inspection logs Support layout and systems improvements in the plant store and yard Deliver and collect equipment or stock to/from sites and engineers when required Liaise with other departments and engineers to resolve plant-related issues quickly Maintain high housekeeping standards across the plant areas

Requirements



Have excellent communication and collaboration skills Take a proactive, solutions-focused approach to daily challenges Be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative Be physically fit and able to load, unload and move plant equipment Be comfortable working outdoors in a hands-on role Hold a Full UK Driving Licence

Skills & Experience



Working with plant or operational equipment, ideally in telecoms, utilities, or construction Basic IT systems to input and manage equipment data Manual handling and safe lifting techniques (training provided if needed) Working effectively as part of a small, supportive team A forklift licence would be useful but not essential

A full-time, permanent role in a well-established business A Monday to Friday role (7.00am - 4.00pm), no weekend or evening work Salary of up to 30,000 depending on skills and experience Training and certification where required Opportunities for career progression and development within CASS
