This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in Product Management, at the heart of the Retail Savings team.


As an Assistant Product Manager on the Savings Delivery team, you'll be supporting Product Managers with the day-to-day running of our Savings products, working on key deliveries such as pricing changes, as well as proactively identifying ways to help improve our systems and processes, to set us up for success in the future.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon, London or Northampton office. What you'll be doing:




Working with Product Managers on key Savings initiatives; developing and implementing delivery plans for activities that help improve member outcomes, support trading objectives and simplify our processes. Collaborating with people across the Society to execute our strategy, supporting key projects and providing product expertise. Working with the team to build a detailed knowledge of our policies, processes and systems, ensuring that robust controls are in place to protect members and the Society. Helping maintain our Savings product book through supporting the coordination and delivery of Run The Business activities. Working closely with colleagues across the Society for example, Communications, Digital, Retail and Risk teams to get the support we need to put things right, when they do sometimes go wrong, and support the identification and delivery of the necessary controls to stop it from happening again.

About you:




As a minimum, we are looking for someone with the following skills:


A detailed knowledge and experience of how savings products are set up technically, their terms & conditions and recent experience operating origination systems. Recent experience in leading or supporting projects or small change, including readiness plans, testing, stakeholder management and reporting. Have a numerical and analytical mindset with an aptitude for problem solving. Have strong Excel skills and good knowledge of PowerPoint & Word. Have a proven ability to work to a high standard whilst handling time pressures. Have experience of building relationships and communicating with confidence. Be able to work well on your own initiative whilst balancing multiple priorities.
