Based at our Hadlow, Kent office, this role offers the opportunity to join a friendly, collaborative team and gain hands-on experience across product management.

The ideal candidate will have experience in product management or a similar role and will play a key part in supporting the product function across product development, supplier management, compliance, and market research, contributing to the next phase of our growth.

Key Responsibilities:



Conduct competitor benchmarking and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and help maintain a competitive market position. Attend occasional trade shows and factory/supplier visits in the UK and overseas. Assist in managing existing product ranges and support the development of new products. Ensure quality expectations are met throughout product development and production. Collaborate with the in-house design team to create clear and detailed product specifications. Create and maintain detailed product specifications and technical documentation. Liaise with suppliers regarding manufacturing feasibility. Support product compliance processes, including arranging testing, interpreting results, and maintain up-to-date compliance records. Keep abreast of new/updated product compliance requirements, liaising regularly with testing laboratories. Manage suppliers from purchase order to goods receipt, ensuring an efficient process Arrange, review, and approve pre-shipment inspections to uphold quality standards. Ensure goods are ready and dispatched on time, while keeping the team informed of shipment progress. Manage goods in inspections resolving any issues raised. Investigate customer returns and quality issues, following up with suppliers to resolve problems.

Key Skill Requirements:



A proven track record in a similar product role. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. The ability to communicate technical information clearly and confidently. The ability to work within critical paths and meet project deadlines consistently Highly numerate A keen eye for detail with an appreciation of both the creative and technical elements of product development. Able to understand product standards and regulations and convey requirements effectively. Strong commercial acumen/awareness. Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure across multiple projects. Confident with Microsoft Word, Excel and ERP systems.

Salary 25,000 - 30,000 depending on experience
