The Role

The Assistant Production Merchandiser will be responsible for supporting the Junior Production Merchandisers and Production Merchandisers in ensuring the smooth running and maximisation of our orders across the supply base to deliver its full potential to deliver stock into the business to meet our to market targets.

Responsibilities

Preparing data and updates for the Junior Production Merchandisers


Building effective supplier relationships to support partnership approach


Updating the Production Critical path across allocated vendors.


Proactively chase and follow-up with factories on status of orders


Work with factories to follow-up on unconfirmed and late orders


Factory schedules - checking to make sure all orders on and planned with correct dates.


Attend weekly production meeting with internal teams when needed.


Working closely with Merchandising, Operations and Product Development team to ensure smooth process flow on orders.


Updating order book with shipment information regularly.


Reporting shipment status updates to the production team.


Raising purchase orders to the factories.


Improving process and efficiencies within our supply base

Skills & Experience

Experience of working in a similar role. Good understanding of garment manufacturing , production line management and raw material management. Understanding of Sports, and FMCG/Fashion Industry preferred Ability to work cross-functionally, liaising with peer groups across the business to drive efficiencies and results. Ability to work within strict deadlines and able to be adaptive to changes Comfortable in a fast-paced and ever-changing business environment Excellent planning and organisation skills Flexible approach and willingness to further learn & adapt in a fast pace growing business High level of proficiency with MS Office, including Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
