You will join a truly innovative team in the School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences. You will take a proactive role in developing new learning materials alongside our highly experienced and supportive team.


We are seeking to appoint an experienced clinician, ideally a doctor or a Physician Associate, as an Assistant Professor in Physician Associate studies to contribute towards delivering and innovating our Master of Physician Associate studies programme. This is an exciting time to join the Physician Associate team.as we prepare to welcome our sixth cohort of students onto the programme whilst supporting our existing students towards achieving success at the national Physician Associate Registration Assessments (PARA). The programme recently received GMC approval.

What you will be doing:




The post holder will work closely with the Associate Professor in Physician Associate studies and the wider programme team to help

Co-ordinate and deliver teaching on a wide range of medical topics and clinical skills to Physician Associates students. Be involved in marking assessments, provision of pastoral support for the students and supervising students for their Quality and Service Improvement projects.

Qualifications/ experience:



Level 2 qualification, or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Experience of working in an administrative role. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and work to deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. Experience in delivering training and guidance to staff Commitment to delivering an excellent student and staff experience
