Job Description

Due to sustained growth and continued success in securing new projects, Edwards Diving Services Ltd. (EDS) is seeking to appoint Assistant Project Engineers with around 3 years' post-graduate experience (in construction site-based or consultancy roles) to support and deliver a range of specialist marine and civil engineering projects across the UK.

Working at EDS means joining a team that tackles complex engineering challenges in some of the most dynamic and unique environments--from tidal estuaries to remote reservoirs and energy infrastructure sites.

The Role


As an Assistant Project Engineer, you will work closely with Project Managers and Engineers and site teams to support the planning and delivery of our live site works. You'll contribute to technical solutions, site coordination, client interaction, and team support, while developing leadership skills that will prepare you for a full Project Engineer role.

Key responsibilities include:



Attending pre-tender site visits. Assisting with project scoping, planning, procurement, and pricing. Supporting site-based delivery, ensuring compliance with H&S and environmental standards. Preparing and reviewing Pre-construction documentation, RAMS, QA docs e.g. ITPs, and progress / CVR reports Preparing valuations and applications for payments working with Project Management and Site Teams. Coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers Being on-site regularly for engineering assurance purposes and able to travel or stay away when required

What We're Looking For



BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering (or similar) 1-3 years' experience in a site engineering / construction delivery or consultancy role Good communication and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Willingness to work in or around water and undertake specialist training (confined space, working at height, etc.)

Essential



Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK Competent with Microsoft Office and producing site documentation Capable swimmer, comfortable working in remote locations and on site

Desirable



Graduate Member of ICE or similar institution and working towards an accreditation, we will support this ongoing. Familiarity with CDM Regulations 2015 and safe site practices Experience of working with NEC Contracts Setting out experience Previous experience in the water, rail, marine, or infrastructure sectors Understanding and implementation of temporary works procedures Experience of developing engineering solutions

Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
