The role
As an
Assistant Project Manager - IT
, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact while developing your career in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment.
Day-to-day, you'll help deliver innovative digital solutions that support critical defence operations. You'll work on projects that shape the future of technology within Babcock, ensuring systems and processes meet the highest standards of security and efficiency.
Developing tasking orders to secure resources and manage delivery
Facilitating and agreeing requirements, project scope, and solutions for work packages
Monitoring schedules and maintaining project cost and time estimates
Supporting risk management processes, including identification and mitigation of risks
Driving improvements in quality, schedule, and cost while capturing lessons learned
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Assistant Project Manager - IT
Experience applying APM, PRINCE2, and ITIL methodologies in project environments
Proven background in project management or PMO roles with full lifecycle understanding
Strong knowledge of procurement, scheduling, budgeting, risk, and stakeholder management
Familiarity with project management frameworks and leadership principles
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Qualifications for the Assistant Project Manager - IT
Degree-level education or equivalent professional qualification
Prince2 or APMP certification (or equivalent)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
