We're looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Assistant Project Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of our civils and rail projects
Position Overview:
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work alongside senior project managers to support the delivery of a range of civil engineering and Network Rail projects. You will be involved in managing project timelines, resources, and risks while ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in writing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), creating Gantt charts, developing Construction Phase Plans (CPP) Work Package Plans (WPP) and TBS's, and managing projects from initiation to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed Gantt charts, to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
Risk Management:
Prepare and maintain thorough Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
Project documentation:
Assist in preparing and reviewing, including reports, health and safety assessments, and risk management plans. Implement Construction Phase Plans (CPP) WPP and TBS's in compliance with Network Rail and London Underground.
Project Execution:
Oversee all phases of project execution, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Stakeholder Management:
Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns promptly
Resource Management:
Allocate and manage resources effectively across multiple projects to optimize performance and outcomes.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all projects comply with relevant health and safety regulations, particularly within the rail sector.
Qualifications:
Education:
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferable or substantial experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of project management experience in the construction industry, with a focus on rail projects.
Knowledge of the UK rail industry standards, including Network Rail processes and safety regulations.
Proficiency in writing RAMS from scratch and developing CPP's, WPP's & TBS's.
Strong understanding of construction and rail industry standards and regulations.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Effective communication and leadership skills.
Certifications:
SMSTS.
A valid UK driving licence and the willingness to travel to project sites as required
Exposure to large-scale, high-profile infrastructure projects
