The Role
We're seeking an
Assistant Property Manager
to join our team. This is a varied and rewarding position, blending front-line tenant interaction with behind-the-scenes property management support. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience across all aspects of commercial property management while contributing directly to the success of our portfolio.
This role offers a great opportunity for someone who enjoys responsibility, variety, and working with people - and is keen to develop their career in property management.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for tenants and visitors, handling enquiries in person, by phone, and by email
Support senior property managers with day-to-day tenant and property matters
Maintain accurate records, from tenant details to property compliance
Assist with monitoring rent payments and arrears, coordinating follow-ups as required
Manage compliance tracking (e.g. gas safety, fire risk assessments, EPCs)
Handle utility administration and liaise with councils on business rates or council tax
Communicate with contractors, councils, and service providers to keep properties running smoothly
Take ownership of varied administrative tasks to support the wider team
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Confident and professional in customer-facing situations
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
A proactive, can-do attitude and eagerness to develop knowledge of commercial property
Desirable:
Previous experience in property management or administration
Familiarity with compliance, utilities, or property management systems
