Job Description

Five Rivers Child Care is a leading Social Enterprise dedicated to turning children's lives around. We have over 33 years' experience in supporting the recovery of looked after children who have experienced trauma, abuse, and neglect.

Our Clinical Services team are looking for an Assistant Psychological Practitioner to join our nationwide team across supporting fostering and residential services. This is a home-based role where you will be working remotely to support qualified clinicals however, some travel will be required to carry out assessments with children. This could be anywhere across the North East, North West and Midlands. All expenses for this would be covered.

This a short-term role for a fixed period and would suit a candidate with prior experience in a similar role who is looking to broaden their skill set.

Key Responsibilities



To support qualified Clinical Practitioners in their day-to-day activities, including assessment and formulation and the drafting of clinical reports. To attend and minute meetings alongside the Clinical Practitioner in Fostering or Residential To administer, code and feedback on play-based Story Stem Assessment Profile (full training provided). To participate in the development and delivery of research projects and service evaluation To ensure accurate recording and compliance of record keeping

Role Requirements:



Experience of direct work with children or families within a trauma-informed framework Experience in research methodologies and data analysis. A minimum of a BSc in Psychology or related field. Full driving licence and access to own car

To support you in your role the Clinical Services Team will provide:



Monthly supervision Monthly reflective practice space Weekly space to meet with other Assistant Psychological Practitioners Quarterly in-person team development days. CPD opportunities including training with the Anna Freud Centre in Story Stem Assessment Profile, Therapeutic Care/Fostering Training and access to an online CPD platform Support to grow and develop professionally.
