Assistant Psychologist


We are seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join our friendly team located on the outskirts of Oxford. Oxford ADHD and Autism Centre (part of the Clinical Partners Group) are dedicated to providing high quality services to our patients.


Purpose:



Under the supervision of the Private Outpatient Team Managers and Oxford ADHD & Autism Centre team, to answer and respond to queries received via calls or emails about our services and offerings in a caring and professional manner. Utilising clinical knowledge and effective questioning skills, determine if the company can provide a suitable service for the patient and where relevant, triage the patient and book an appointment with an appropriate clinician for the necessary treatment. Where our services aren't suitable for a patient, signposting them to an appropriate service based on their individual needs

Primary Accountabilities and Deliverables:



To act as the triage contact for Oxford ADHD & autism Centre's services, triaging patients and booking appointments with the correct clinician or signposting patients to the correct service when they fall into our exclusion criteria. To answer questions and queries from patients, carers, and families a helpful and polite manner, always adhering to confidentiality policies. Liaise with patients, families, and clinicians to supply details surrounding appointments and reports etc. To maintain accurate, up to date records of all patient information including attendances, appointments, assessments, and ongoing care in Salesforce. To record and report clinical governance issues including, but not limited to, incidents, complaints, data breaches and safeguarding concerns. Provide cross cover for other team members to ensure a consistent and effective service is maintained at all times. Monitoring of relevant email inboxes. Attend one-to-ones and shadowing sessions when required.

Experience:



Essential

Undergraduate degree at least in Psychology or a similar, relevant subject Knowledge of mental health terminology Relevant administrative experience Clear understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality in all areas of work including phone conversations, written materials and computerised materials and processes

Desirable

Experience of working for a health or social care organisation Knowledge of Salesforce Experience working with vulnerable people Customer service experience, particularly via telephone

This role is offered as full-time, with 40 hours per week 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday, with 30 minutes daily lunch break. The role is hybrid, working from home on days agreed at offer stage and at our Headington Clinic, with occasional travel to our Garsington Clinic.
