Job Description

Our friendly and welcoming Maternal Mental Health Service is looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join the team. The postholder will be a valued part of our busy service, which offers Psychology-led interventions for people whose mental health has been significantly impacted by maternity related trauma, loss, or profound fears of pregnancy and/or childbirth.



In stepping into this post, you will have ample opportunities to learn more about the specialism, working within a team of highly experienced clinicians who are passionate about their work.



Areas of responsibility will include offering wellbeing calls, brief interventions, co-facilitation of groups, contribution to MDT discussions, team meetings, gathering and analysing outcome measures & qualitative feedback, and the opportunity to further co-produce this role together with the the team.



There may also be opportunities to offer occasional input into our separate but related services for families who were part of the Ockenden Review.

You will support in the delivery of psychological interventions for people whose mental health has been significantly impacted by birth trauma, perinatal loss, or tokophobia

You will assist in the delivery of group interventions and wellbeing calls for families

You will use research skills for conducting literature reviews, audit and service evaluation

You will compile and disseminate relevant resources, and assist with clinically related administration

You will promote and maintain good working relationships with clients, their families, carers and other external agencies
