The CAMHS Disability Service is a well-established part of Community CAMHS, and offers a wide range of care pathways (0-18 years; moderate to profound LD, ASD and ADHD as well as physical disabilities) including specialist therapeutic interventions, neurodevelopmental assessments with post-diagnostic support, MDT and group interventions, duty and initial assessments and brief, focused interventions for autism. Systemic and relational models form the basis for much of our work, alongside behavioural techniques and a variety of specialist, evidence based approaches. Referrals are diverse, reflecting our local community which we are proud to serve.
Due to all assistants getting on to training, an exciting opportunity has arisen for two assistant psychologists to join the CAMHS Disability Service at the Hackney Ark to co-ordinate diagnostic assessment clinics and complete supervised diagnostic assessments as well as co-ordinate post diagnostic support and deliver Early Bird groups. We are a forward thinking, passionate team supporting children and young people with disability and their families.
T here are 2 full-time, permeant roles. If you are motivated and enthusiastic to work in CAMHS in the context of assessment and group work in ASD/ADHD/LD, in a multi diverse and partnership delivery model, within an outstanding NHS organisation, these are ideal positions to apply for.
