We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Psychologist to join our team on a rolling 12-month fixed contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wishes to advance their clinical, research and service development skills. There are vast opportunities to be involved in direct clinical work as well as learning the management and key service considerations within a clinical psychology team. You will join a supportive and nurturing team based in our new specifically dedicated clinic rooms in Sutton Coldfield.
Key responsibilities:
To be supervised and work alongside Consultant Clinical Psychologists to assist with all components of ASD and ADHD assessments.
To liaise and work alongside other members of the MDT to assist coordination of assessments.
To develop and run post-diagnostic support sessions for clients of the service, in individual and group modality.
To engage in and manage promotional and social media presence for the service.
To support the Clinical Directors with activities relating to service development.
To support the clinical team in training workshops.
Qualifications:
A BPS recognised undergraduate degree in Psychology (minimum 2:1).
Previous assistant psychologist experience in a mental health setting is desirable.
Good working knowledge of Office 365 (word, excel, PowerPoint, email) and SPSS.
Awareness of risk assessment and safeguarding processes.
