Priory Hospital Roehampton is looking to recruit an Assistant Psychologist to join the team. This is a full time/37.5 Hour role.



Priory Hospital Roehampton, a registered hospital in London, is a welcoming and highly respected rehab facility, offering expert mental health and addiction treatment.


We support people facing a wide range of mental health challenges, providing specialist care for depression, anxiety and addictions. Our team offers tailored treatment for substance addictions, including alcohol, cocaine and heroin, as well as behavioural addictions like gambling. We also provide outpatient support for adults with eating disorders.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.Assist qualified psychologists in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, including administering and scoring standardized tests, and gathering relevant clinical information from clients. Support the delivery of evidence-based psychological interventions and therapies under supervision, helping to monitor client progress and adjust approaches as needed. Contribute to research activities by collecting, managing, and analyzing data, preparing reports, and assisting with literature reviews to support ongoing projects and service development. Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring all documentation complies with professional standards and data protection regulations. Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and clinical skills

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in psychology, typically with an undergraduate degree in psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) or equivalent. Previous experience in a healthcare, educational, or research setting is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with psychological assessment and intervention processes. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team are essential. A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ongoing professional development is required.
