Assistant Quantity Surveyor

The Opportunity

A great opportunity to join a respected regional contractor with a long heritage in Bristol's built environment. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll support commercial management on a variety of projects across education, healthcare, commercial and refurbishment sectors.

You'll work closely with an experienced commercial team, gaining hands-on development, clear mentorship, and the chance to work on meaningful local schemes that create real community value.

Role Overview

You will support:

Cost planning, measurement, and tender analysis. Subcontract procurement and contract administration. Valuations, variations, and commercial reporting. Site visits and progress reviews with the project team. Final accounts and financial close-out. Maintaining strong supplier and subcontract relationships.
About You

Experience as an AQS or Trainee with a main or regional contractor. Understanding of commercial processes, procurement, and measurement. Willingness to learn, develop, and take on responsibility at a steady pace. Good communication and organisational skills. Ability to build positive working relationships with site and office teams. Studying or interested in progressing relevant qualifications (desired, not essential).
