Role Overview
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with senior team members and be involved in a wide variety of exciting residential and commercial projects. You will gain hands-on experience across all aspects of cost management and contract administration while developing the technical and professional skills needed to progress towards chartered status.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and feasibility studies
Contribute to the production of elemental cost plans and Bills of Quantities
Support the preparation and evaluation of tender documents
Assist with contract administration, interim valuations, and final accounts
Attend site visits and client meetings under supervision
Work towards APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) and eventual RICS qualification
Undertake general project and cost management tasks as required
Essential Criteria
A BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
A genuine interest in construction and the built environment
Eagerness to learn and develop within a team-based environment
Eligible to work in the UK and hold a valid UK driving licence
Desirable Criteria
Previous work placement, internship, or part-time experience in a ?S or construction- related role
Familiarity with software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or MS Excel
An ambition to become chartered through RICS or CIOB
Awareness of current construction methods, procurement strategies, and building regulations
