Assistant Quantity Surveyor




Location; Central London


Midgard is the main contracting division of the +850m turnover JRL Group and utilises all the company's in-house resources and facilities to provide clients with a bespoke constructionservice. We have gone back to the time when contractors carried out work themselves with a dedicated, reliable workforce and their own fleet of plant and equipment.


Due to recent project awards, we are looking for ambitious Quantity Surveyors to join us who want to work on iconic +100m projects in London. The ideal candidates will have a tenacious attitude, with a desire to succeed and progress in their career. They will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.

Responsibilities:



Ensure cash flow is maximized. Ensure that business targets and KPI's are exceeded. Preparation of monthly cost value reports for area, together with review of results. Production of commercial reports, reviewing results and considering trends. Physical measurement of works and agreement of same with client and subcontractors. Agreement of certification and payment of subcontractor accounts. Implementation and compliance with the contract change control procedure and monitoring thereof including notices to client as appropriate. Managing sub-contractors. Sending out enquiries, collating prices, comparing with tender and negotiation. Preparing valuations for interim application for payment including variations.

Requirements:



Knowledge of current forms of contract. Strong commercial mind. Ambition and a true passion for construction. * Excellent negotiation skills.
